Home Carpeting: Really Need Professional Carpet Cleaning?
Carpeting is the most common flooring in a home. Most homes have tiled areas as well as hardwood or even vinyl flooring in certain areas however, the majority of today's home owners prefer carpeting in the main areas of the home such as bedrooms, dens and living rooms.
Many people feel that carpeting should be professionally cleaned routinely. Here are three examples of the many important reasons to have carpeting professionally cleaned on a regular basis.
Carpets catch allergens. Allergens can be dust, particles of pollen, dander, cat hairs and or dog hairs. Allergens can be removed from the carpeting by a professional carpet cleaner. Vacuuming on a daily basis will remove the excess dander from the cat but it will not be able to pull the majority of the cat's dander out of the carpet. Guests should be able to come and go from your home without experiencing allergy symptoms from your cat. It is positive to have a guest say, I didn't know you had a cat and it is negative to have a guest ask for tissues as they sneeze repetitively. Allergens can be removed and eliminated by a professional cleaning which is scheduled routinely throughout the year.
Professionally cleaning your carpet can extend its life by years. The best aspect of carpeting is the ability to lie on it, roll on it with the kids, and watch TV on it. The worst thing about carpeting is how easily it soils. A carpet can be kept clean if routinely professionally cleaned. The carpet can even be sprayed with stain repellant that will cause spills to stay on the top of the carpet rather than penetrate deep into the fibers and cause a permanent stain. Carpeting should be professionally cleaned for the best possible cleaning of all spills and to prevent stains and spots.
Indoor family pets soil the carpeting. Carpeting should be professionally cleaned if you are the owner of one or more indoor family pets. Pets soil carpeting occasionally and leave odors that sink deep into the carpeting. These odors if allowed to remain can affect the floor boards under the carpeting. The best way to handle pets is to have the carpet cleaned professionally and to have a spot and stain repellent applied professionally to the carpets. This repellent will hinder urine, vomit and other pet messes from sinking deep into the carpeting.
Carpeting is a great asset to the home. It provides warmth, comfort and design however a dirty carpet should be cleaned and kept clean by a professional carpet cleaner.
